How very fortunate are we to have a beautiful place to worship our Savior Jesus Christ!

Here at First Congregational Church we have a new mantra to Grow, Connect, and Serve. Part of that mission for 2017 includes an ambitious project to freshen up our current sanctuary space. Our goal is to provide a more welcoming and updated environment in which we worship and welcome guests.

On January 15, 2017 our congregation voted to approve a remodel project for our sanctuary. The remodel is estimated to cost around $108,000.00. An offering was held on Sunday, February 5 and to-date we have collected approximately 70% of our project total.

The overall project will include removing the wood and drywall from the stage area. Adding attractive stone up the middle with the cross. The floor will be raised on the stage area to one level and opened up with a new wall angle to create more space. The middle screen will be removed and two rear projection screens will be added, one on each side wall. The piano and organ will be raised for better visibility and additional lighting will be added to the pulpit area. New dimmable LED lights will be placed in the sanctuary. The cry room will be removed and the sound booth relocated to the back wall. This will provide additional seating and a more open space. We will also be renovating the foyer to create a new welcome center. The carpeting throughout the sanctuary and foyer will also be replaced.
